چکیده
Phosphate (Pi) is a constituent of key molecules such as ATP, nucleic acids, and phospholipids, which play crucial roles in energy transfer, metabolic regulation, and protein activation. Plants have evolved a number of different adaptive strategies to maximize Pi acquisition under Pi-limiting conditions. Many high-afûnity Pi transporter genes are expressed predominantly in roots and are induced by Pi depletion which indicate that they are involved in P-uptake and acquisition through the roots in P-strress condition (Seo et al., 2008, Jia et al., 2011, Sun et al., 2012). Higher the root/shoot ratio, root hair proliferation and increased in length, and lateral root number, increase the surface area for absorption, thereby increasing Puptake efûciency and acquisition under Pi-limiting conditions (Poirier and Bucher 2002).

Study of antioxidant defense genes expression profile pattern of rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars in response to drought stress
Drought stress is one of the important factors that restrict crop production in the world. This study was conducted to investigate defense gene expression in response to drought stress, and also to evaluate the drought tolerance and its mechanism in rice cultivars based on randomized complete block design in two separate environments (drought stress and non-stress). The rice cultivars used incl...
متن کاملOsPHF1 regulates the plasma membrane localization of low- and high-affinity inorganic phosphate transporters and determines inorganic phosphate uptake and translocation in rice.
PHOSPHATE TRANSPORTER TRAFFIC FACILITATOR1 (PHF1) is known to regulate the plasma membrane localization of PHT1;1, a high-affinity inorganic phosphate (Pi) transporter in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). OsPHF1, a rice (Oryza sativa) gene homologous to AtPHF1, was isolated and found to regulate the localization of both low- and high-affinity Pi transporters to the plasma membrane. Three OsPH...

Salt stress is one of the main abiotic stresses for rice that causes negative effects on its growth and productivity. In present study, effects of salt stress on differential gene expression of some genes which are responsible in salt stress were investigated in two rice tolerant and sensitive genotypes (FL478 and IR29) by applying cDNA-AFLP technique. Among the TDFs (Transcript Derived F...
متن کاملDifferential Effects of Nitrogen Forms on Cell Wall Phosphorus Remobilization Are Mediated by Nitric Oxide, Pectin Content, and Phosphate Transporter Expression1[OPEN]
NH4 + is a major source of inorganic nitrogen for rice (Oryza sativa), and NH4 + is known to stimulate the uptake of phosphorus (P). However, it is unclear whether NH4 + can also stimulate P remobilization when rice is grown under P-deficient conditions. In this study, we use the two rice cultivars ‘Nipponbare’ and ‘Kasalath’ that differ in their cell wall P reutilization, to demonstrate that N...
متن کاملImproving Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Drought Tolerance by Suppressing a NF-YA Transcription Factor
The response to drought stress is a complicated process involving stress sensing, intracellular signaltransduction, and the execution of a cellular response. Transcription factors play important roles in the signaling pathways including abiotic stress. In the present study a rice NF-YA transcription factor gene was partially characterized following dehydration. Disrupting the gene via a T...
